Question Niche Mini-Site Delopement

Hello all,

I am new to the forms and new to parking. I have 35 domains that have served as general stuff over the years and I just figured out I should do something with them.. Sedo has been the first site I have tried, 3 days now. $0.35 earned from me learning about parking and clicking the links to see where they go. I have noticed that the limited ad topics seem to be a problem as some of my site don't fit or have been auto selected for me.

Anyway, after seeing the post on this page about SteadyNiche I am considering developing a few of my sites. I would try the program but $130 is a large investment for me and there is little to no information about these sites selling scripts and builders. I like the idea of the site auto generating news and links via rss feeds. But these should just be simple php scripts? Why don't we have a forum/topic/faq/how-to or anything regarding tips/scripts or advice on how to make mini sites?

What success have you had? How did you do it? Blogs? Paid Programs? Hour and Hours of work and research per page?

Hi grwolz!

Clicking on your own ads will get you banned at all parking programs. I would HIGHLY recommend that you stop this practice immediately.

Spend more time reading the various NamePros forums/sub-forums. Just about everything you are looking can be found someplace within them.

Good Luck with your domains!

Yeah it is not a practice I recommend to anyone. Clicking on your own links it not a good idea. But everyone does it at least once.. My once was 0.32 cents.

Ill try to search more when the search NP function works again. Thanks

Hi grwolz

Welcome to Namepros.

As you probably know there are a few ways you can monetize domains.

Firstly there are a number of companies like Sedo who will supply parking pages in return for a share of the revenue. These include Afternic.com and TrafficZ.com . (and Bodis.com I think) There are also a number of companies that produce ready made web sites for you such as WhyPark.com, PPC-Sites.com and 1Plus.net - but the problem is that you have to pay for that.

Obviously, you can develop your own sites. You can use content produced under Creative Commons licence or ezine articles from specialised sites or you can write stuff yourself. (or pay someone to do it) Monetization is up to you -many people try Google Adsense or Commission Junction to begin with.

But what I am really leading up to is that there is no substitute for quality and compelling content. You may cover costs and even make some profit depending on the traffic your names generate, but in my experience unique content is what gets results.

There is a lot of info about this on NamePros, and some people have found the article in my signature to be helpful.

Good luck.
