Most high value sales come from end users who have real development use for the name. Namepros is populated mostly by resellers who will not pay even 1/4 what an enduser would.
Yes, definately possible if you have reseller desirable names such as two character .com/.net/.org, three letter .com's, or other Tier 1 names. I've sold several in the price range you mentioned here at NamePros.
But as armstrong mentioned, this is mainly a reseller community. if you are looking for end user sales of your names you will need to get market directly to end users. You can use NamePros as your resouce for learning how to do so.

The only offers you will get here for big money are from scammers in a PM. I get those frequently. A new member PMs me and tells me he will pay me what I make for 2 years in SEDO clicks for my domains. It's just a scam. They do not intend on paying anything, but they do intend on stealing your domain.
Like another post said. this forum is for domain traders and that is who visits here. No one is willing to pay retail, only wholesale, and many times that translates to less than the reg fee. In order to sell to the end user you must go wjere the end user hangs out. As of yet, I don;t think there is a forum for retail buyers of premuim domains. Such a forum would never jive.
I have yet to see people looking to actually buy a domain at retail visit this forum. they do not look for forums like this. They have no reason to. If you are going to develop a domain for a business, there really is no need to spend thousands of dollars on a domain anyway. If you have a good product or service and you have the marketing savvy, there are plenty of brandible domains that are not yet taken. All that is required to secure such a domain is a little creativity and $8.99/year.
