Google won't show my meta tags

Googlebot has been visiting my site, and ALL of my META tags are correct, appear correct on other search engines, EXCEPT Google.

www.precisioneffect.com

Meta tags fine, everything is fine. Google won't show my meta tags on BOTH of my domains?

Can anyone help me correct this problem? This is annoying me. I am getting 1,100+ unique a month with a coming soon page. I would atleast like some meta tags to appear

It's very very rare that google shows the meta description..

You should get some (written) content on your site, or else you will have very small chances of a good google ranking..

If you happen to be using a phpBB, try This Hack

It worked pretty well for me. If you google "W3Bids", my Meta's come up nicely (right now).

Also always remember, give your top left image a good "ALT" tag. Some bots read your page like a book and your top left logo may very well be the first thing it reads.

Google doesn't use meta tags to do anything, never has. It is a still a good practice to use them, but doesn't help when it comes to Google.

If your site is Flash then add some content there for users who don't have Flash. Google and Flash don't mix sadly, one reason to not use Flash at all.

Well, on www.precisioneffect.com there IS content, there isn't flash, and Google still won't show a description. All of the other engines do (msn, yahoo, ask, etc) Why?

Sorry about the Flash thing, thought you said it was Flash, and I was too lazy to look at the website myself

But as I mentioned above Google's search technology doesn't even incorporate meta tags at all, it uses other (probably better) technology. MSN, Yahoo, Ask, etc are seperate search engines with their own way of rendering search results.

Google is just slightly different although I think makes SEO a lot harder. Don't rely on meta tags to do your dirty SEO work for you.

What should I do to get a description? All of the other sites have them, and mine has content on it. Even coming soon pages that I know of have a description. My website has been up since June.

If their technologo is better, it should actually be showing up.

ex: type in levid
go to levid.com and view source

their meta description shows up.

if you disect that PHPBB hack that they posted above, maybe you can see what they do to make search engines index the META's.... otherwize most search engines grab direct content from your website and then show different content in the search's description depending on the keyword searched for... for instance the search engine i created and am selling indexes the entire text-based part of the website, and displays 2 lines of description depending on the keyword that was searched for.
