| making money with a image host? Hello,
Im hoping this is the right forum section for this type of question.
My question simply is, How can one make money from an image hosting site?
I mean I can see selling paid accounts, but do people actually still pay for them with the number of free image accounts around today?
What things are being offered that brings in money to free image host?
Thanks,
Cedric |

| I think the main thing that free image hosts do is put ads on the full size image and hope that people will click on those ads when they view the image for affiliates or PPC like Google. What I've wondered though is whether there is enough clickage to justify the costs successfully (IE a dedicated server to handle the bandwidth requirements).
Would be interested about hearing on this subject myself. |

| The best bet is as he described. Have the images display in frames with the surrounding area populated by ads. Also, offering the ability to upgrade to adless options is a plus if you do have a good/user friendly setup.

| It's all about where you advertise. My source has proven to be quite successful and it was free. My first month running I had 26,000 uniques visitors. I'm now getting between 1000-2000 uniques a day. All from one perfectly placed ad spot. I have only 4 paying members but I get about 15 new free members every day and have a total of 400 members, all in one month. It's not a great source of income yet but it is making some money and every image that is shown has the url as a watermark. The best thing about it is that I can post ads on the members section so every time they login to add or edit their images they see my ads. |

| The best way to make money from Free Image Hosting is to put some banners of
other companys that offer paid hosting and to put goolge(or other) ads ...

| Use Bidvertiser for your advertisements
They pay through PayPal at a minimum payout rate of $10.00 USD
Not really that hard to get $10.00 USD for a free image host |
