| alexa confusing Hey!
My proxy website www.proxz.com was ranked around 450,000 like 6 months ago. Then my site was only getting about 300-400 visitors. Now that my site is getting a lot more traffic ( 800-900 unique vistors a day ) you would think my alexa rank would go up. Nope, it dropped to about 2,000,000. But about a month ago it dropped down to 1,000,000. I have read in other threads that alexa is not reliable. Even so it would be better for my rank to be lower incase I want to sell the site some day. Any suggestions?
Thanks |

| They only count the people that use their toolbar... so unless your visitors have the Alexa bar they wont be counted. |

| its really not that accurate until you get into the really low figures <60K and below. Even then it can really be manipulated. I have several sites over 500K (and 1.2mil) and they have tons more visitors then the sites in the 100K range. All you can do is just keep working on your sites with new content and updates and it will go down but like I said dont put to much value on it. |
