when to start selling advertisement space?

Hello,

Can someone tell me what would be a good time to start selling advertising space?

I have a gaming site that awstats says it receives over 200+ visitors a day and google analitycs 150+ visitors a day. The site is PR 3 with the forums being a PR 2.

You can sell yours too if you think someone will be really interested in it

anytime you can start or file an application to different affiliate programs out there that needs that amount of traffic.

I have a blog with similar stats, any suggestions for what to charge for a banner ad approximately? Would $40/month be about right?

i dont think that factoring in page impressions alone would be an appropriate way to figure out a price that works out for both you and your customer. after all, for $40/mo he wants to see a return on that investment.

for 200+ visitors/day, i reccommend you charge $1 per click and $20 flat monthly charge (for page impressions)

I was checking some link value generator websites and one site said for the top part of the website i can charge 27.46 and in the middle 22.40 and the lower part of the website 17.00 Another website said that i can charge 19.00

My website doesn't have a page impression or clicks caculator. I would probably charge a montly fee for the best spot on the site.

Also it would help to know how many pages are indexed by Google. Plenty of pages nean better SERPs for some folks. Those kinds of stats also make me interested besides the page views. PM me once you settle on a price.

Regardless of how good your stats are it is *extremely* tough to sell ads, even very low priced ones

I was contacted by someone that wants to put text ad on my site ( what a coincidence

) and want to pay $120.00 for a full year. They want to pay a certain amount up front and the rest in 3 months.
