· #1 | | NamePros Member | Cold-Selling a Domain Name Hi I was wondering if anyone here has sold a domain name to a business just by emailing them or calling them and letting them know that you have a domain that can benefit them and their business by getting them better search results.
For example, I have a domain that I want to pitch to a local flower shop and I want them to buy the domain 'bestsmellingflowers.com' or whatever it may be...
Do people do this with success? If so, what's the best advice in going about doing this myself? How can I make the potential buyer feel like they really 'need' that domain name?
Thanks |

· #2 | | NamePros Member | There is a thread on here where they show the letters people have sent to people.
I think a letter is a lot better, professional, and serious.
If you go there and talk to them, they're more likely to "throw you an offer". But if you send them a letter explaining that the price is "Firm", then they might be less inclined to submit a lowball offer.
Good luck. |

yes i have and was able to sell 2 domains to the company.
use the exact keywords on your domain you're looking to sell pref. .com and use that on google.com and the first 10 results that shows up use their contact form or email them with a sales letter taken from the thread above (just modify to your liking) wait a day then proceed with the 2nd page of results. |

| The link posted by weblord got some really good examples on how to approach these end-buyers. I've been backreading a lot, and it's well worth it! |
