Help! please advise

I have a list of 10k emails.
The list was given to me by a professional organization.

I would like to inform the recipients of a course that I am hosing on specific dates.
But I don't want to get blacklisted for SPAM.

If I create a new yahoo account and use a Email Company to distribute and track them,
the worst that can happen is that the new yahoo account is blocked... Right?

also the email would not contain a link to my website but a text reference to SomeCompany.com.

Would this help me achieve my goal of getting the message delivered without risking my URL or current mail account for SPAM?

Please Advise,

Barts has a spectacular aura aboutBarts has a spectacular aura about
If you are emailing 10.000 people who signed up for a course of some kind, I think it's no more than logical to inform them when the course will be IIRC (so don't trust on my memory) you may email those people if they have signed up for your services and you are informing about exactly those services.

However, if you have bought/were given 10.000 random emailaddresses of people who are interested in something you offer but who never actually signed up with your website or bought anything from you, then emailing them would be SPAM. I doubt anyone here will give you advise on how to SPAM

So if you could explain more about the campaign and the addresses, that would be nice. Forgive me if I sound like a smartass, but your initial post sounds a bit spammy

most of these email addresses were compiled from a website they registered for and the information is directly related the the origional website.

I am just concerened that if I send out 10,000 emails the site might get marked as spamming.
