| How to best market FRESHDROP.NET
Hello Friends,
For many namepro members freshdrop.net needs no particular introduction. Since it's inception in the past 2 months, it has grown a small but loyal following. For those that have not heard of freshdrop.net, I would incur you visit our site...it is by far one of the most powerful domain tools out in the market, and the greatest part about it is that it's FREE.
For us at freshdrop.net, we have reached a critical chapter for the site. We would like to figure out what is the next step in increasing awareness for our site.
Marketing to domainers is a new thing for me and I would appreciate it if some senior members would be able to give us some good advice. We don't have a big budget and am very scared of purchasing a banner at some of the high traffic domain forums because each banner can run into the thousands for a month and for us that, without experience, we are not sure if this would be the best way to spend our advertising budget.
Let me know your thoughts and hopefully we can all find a solution to this.
P.S. Several namepro members have suggested that we get a 'domain industry' publicist. This may actually get the most bang for our buck...but we don't know where to start in looking for a good publicist in the domain industry.

| Get some domainers to post on their blog about the services that your site is offering.
Get some loyal members to post on forums related to the topic.
Press release and all that stuff is almost common.
If you have some success stories then post them as well on the site.
Target your main keywords and monitor the SERP's so that you can get a fixed flow of traffic from search engines too. This would save you from the similar situations in future where you will be out of ideas for more promotion.
Sponsor some competitions and events and give out some prices to the members.

We are going to get more good stuff in the coming weeks....and you are right, our traffic is growing tremoundously because everybody likes freshdrop so much and keeps on coming back.

| You might want to make the an official freshdrop.net thread on the expired domain section? Not sure how Namepros would view this but in the parking section there are many threads about the companies. Maybe we can start that on the expired name section? Just an idea... | |
