my new project is currently in prelaunch, and I am trying to build my member base before I fully launch.
InterviewsWith.com will be the place where all the biggest names in the internet and business world are asked some hard hitting questions so that readers can find out who they are, what makes them tick, and why they are successful.
I am in the process of lining up so really big names (dont want to give them away until they commit -otherwise it could be a little embarrasing).
The only ideas I have had is:
Forum Signature
Press Releases
Blog Posts
The best way of advertising is direct audience advertisement. In this case how I would go about the advertising is to look at the list that you get and go after areas of interest.
For instance you get Jason Santa Maria from happycog studios and are interviewing him about his website design style, go to forums that specialise in website design and pay for advertiment.
If your budget will not allow you to do this find the forums on the site (if they have any) and post in there about the up and coming interview with Jason and lure them in to a discussion saying ask Jason questions.
Also this could be a good way of getting some hard hitting questions on board that you have not even considered so take this on board.
At the time being from what I have read I would stay away from forum signatures.
The main reason for this if for instance you get x user here on Namepros to have your line in their signature can backfire.
Google might index x users signature higher then your site at first. Do not quote me on this is just what I have read somewhere but it makes you think twice on this advertising for a new site.
I hope all this helps.

Patrick the Founder of the iFroggy Network was kind enough to take a few minutes of out his day to answer a few question, and I am extremely happy with the result.
I was having a few problems with the signup form, but that is all fixed now!
I have two more interviews lined up:
- Yaro Starak - Entrepreneurs-Journey.com making $5000month blogging!
- Dan Grossman - Awio.com - Awio Web Services
These will both be great interviews so you won't want to miss them!
the link is in my signature if you are interested.
something I found worked very well when I did interviews in the web directory world is every time I had an interview I posted it on my site but then I also released a press release to get more traffic but also get it seens by others.
I must say, your idea is brilliant. Your audience would probably be in entrepreneural websites. I suggest you to find some forums for them and advertise there. Your sure to get a lot of traffic

Thats a cool idea for a website. You could try getting some video interviews maybe and putting them on Youtube for some traffic? If you get people lined up who are popular enough you could probably get some traffic from Digg and Stumbleupon aswell.
I just posted this in the other thread, lols. But I think you might want to look at it for your reference as well.
1. Great content - be it information, service, products... providing relevance and usefulness gives you higher chances of making a visitor into a customer
2. Forum and blog posting on relevant niche - you participate constructively and learn new things while promoting your site via signature.
3. Pay-Per-Click - done properly, best at getting target traffic faster on a direct marketing approach to your potential clients.
4. Targeted Link backs - another premium way of getting the right traffic.
5. Article marketing - useful and relevant articles to your niche is a nice way of link baiting.
You're actually right on the pulse with what to do. Every single one of your interviewees tells you how to grow your business.
You're already doing some of the correct steps: Social bookmarking to drive traffic, press releases for EACH new interview.
Get a MySpace/Facebook/YouTube profile and cross link them to your your site where you can embedd the interviews that you posted on Youtube. It's not all about Video interviews- Audio interviews are just as good, especially when you place images about the sites in question, general images and eventually affiliate links into your interviews.
Don't forget the HUGE opportunity to podcast your interviews for people "on the go". Last but not least, offer your interviews as "content for sale" to magazines - you're practically working as an independent aggregator this way.
One thing i'm missing: The "hard hitting" questions are not yet quite there.
My tip (as a former broadcaster that has done a ton of interviews) don't cross the line of professionalism, but also never be afraid to ask the questions that most others are afraid to ask. No topic is "holy ground" - let your common sense, education and feel for the situation guide you. If you're uncomfortable with a set of questions, introduce your interviewee to the upcoming series of questions and offer them an "out" if they don't want to answer certain questions.
I actually am going to sign up and get on your mailing list.
Very nice idea that plays of CNBC's "Big Idea" with Donny Deutsch and Michael Eisner's "Conversations".
