Black doesn't mean necessarily mean unethical although it can! Black can be just the knowledge of something a tactic that is unknown by the masses and exploiting that hole in the system to get the advantage and profit with; or just obtaining or creating custom tools to make a necessary, but monotous job easy to preform. I don't engage or endorse anything that is illegal, malicious or could cause anyone any harm.. I just like creativity with flair... Don't do something one way when their is a quicker, faster, better and more profitable way of doing it.. Just my opinion and that doesn't matter much!

I guess I would say "Gray". As I agree with ApeXX, and wouldn't do something I wouldn't want others to do to me, but I like to find my way past the mainstream of things.
I disagree with your definition. BTW, I sense a more than a little bias there - are you implying that white-hatters are less knowledgable or somehow inferior? There's lots of room for creativity and applied knowledge in the white hat world and choosing not to USE certain tactics doesn't mean someone is unaware of them .
I think the more frequently understood definition of black-hat tactics are "things would get you banned from search engines if you're caught". Black hat strategy usually follows the cycle of
- New site, new domain
- Meteoric rise to the top
- Brief window of time to make as much $$$ as possible
- Site gets banned
- Abandon the now-useless site and domain
- Repeat
Usually goes hand in hand with spammy sites and content of low value to users - to be fair, someone COULD use these same strategies to promote a worthwhile site, but the site's gonna be banned eventually anyway so why bother...
White hat profits follow a steadier, long-term pattern. (And if you change your mind, it's easier to sell a site/domain that hasn't been banned)
but isnt it very easy to raise to the top very quickly, its all depend how much money you spend to advertise. so am i understanding correct, if you spend tons of money for advertise a brand new domain, and if it will get to the top, it will be banned??
