http://www.adbrite.com/

You just browse around the various sites there, advertising their Ad space until you find one you think will bring you hits.

Then you can create a free account with AdBrite and add your Ad, it's then automatically placed on the Advertisers website for you , until your advertising credit runs out.

Hope that helps,
Rhett.

Correct me if I am wrong but the ad program is javascript based therefore is only good for traffic and not any good for seo or backlinks right?

Is adbrite worth the investment? Has anyone had any real success with using that program?

I think I probably made a couple grand off of them earlier this year when there was less competition. You need to know that your ads must be appealing to get the estimated clicks that it says for each site.

I see a ton of people complaining that adbrite said they would get 500 clicks and the ended up with 5. If you run the ad on Adwords or run of the network first, you'll get a better idea of clicks per impressions...

Is it easy to make money on adbrite as an advertiser? I mean better than ad words?

I had decent luck making money as a publisher, but I would not recommend them for buying clicks. I bought an ad space for 10,000 impressions and it showed me getting clicks but my awstats showed no referrals from the site at all. I went and clicked on my own ad on the site and that one click showed up in awstats right away with the correct referrer. When I called Adbrite they refunded my money and said they would investigate the site, that they were probably doing click fraud....which is BS...the only fraud going on is that they were reporting clicks that didn't happen.

I tried it and I once observed the same events as described by jt.

Also, in my experience, advertising to a specific site works fine... during the first hours/days.

For example, I received 50 clicks in the 1st hour, then 20 during the first day and 10 other during the rest of the week

I bought 3 ads on pretty big sites with adBrite and the traffic I got made me $0.
I also bought ads on 10+ small sites and so far 2 of them convert well for me.

I think it's hit/miss with the sites you advertise on.
