What to charge for banner/link space?

hey everyone..need some input here. Although my site is fairly new it is gaining popularity quickly. I have received a few contacts from people interested in purchasing banner space and text link space on my site. Unfortuanitly, I am unsure what to tell these people..I would not mind selling the space because I feel it can do better than PPC right now..However, I dont want to short change myself and sell someone a 468x60 banner slot right now fairly affordable for 12 months..and then have that same spot be worth double 6 months from now..I will gladly post some information on my site below and would really appriciate any kind of input..what kind of prices should i charge? what kind of time frames?

I want to make good money off of the spots but not shoot myself later for letting them go "too cheap"..heres some info on the site

type of site: social networking
banner sizes I can offer are normal adsense type (468x60 - 160x600 - 336x280..etc)
text links would be located on the footer

PR: 0
avg. unique visitors: 400-500
avg. daily unique page views: 6,000-7,000
total members: over 2100
avg. members per day: 30-50

any kind of input would be appriciated!

Charge monthly and install a free script to manage your banner links and autmatically bill your clients. For the text links, refer interested parties through a program like 'linkworth', and you will find the linkworth commission fee is pale in comparison to the time it saves.

Thanks for your reply! I will certainly check linkworth out! I am curious what kind of price to charge for a banner slot? I could easily think of $20/mo for a 468x60 banner if the site had like a PR3-4..But the site has no PR..this makes it difficult for me to come up with a fair price..

Take a look at different advertising forums (including the one here) and see what other folks are charging for similar ads, then adjust your prices accordingly.
