AdBrite ads on Namepros

Several days ago I bought 200,000 banner ad impressions on Namepros from AdBrite.com for $100. (This is not an ad for AdBrite and I am not affiliated with them in anyway.)

I just thought domainers would like to learn about this inexpensive way to adverise their sites.

At AdBrite you can buy ads on many different sites for rates set by the website owners/publishers. You can pay for impressions, pay per click etc.

So, it was easy enough to sign up and buy the ads. I searched Google for a banner ad design place and found and used AdDesigner.com. Free banner ad design works for me.

All set, campaign started the next day. I had a 100% increase in traffic (20 uniques to 40 uniques) that day then up to 60 uniques the following day, 40 uniques the next day. Looks like about a .9% clickthrough which I think is fine. I think the industry standard is .5%.

A couple minor draw backs. I changed my ad after I submitted it then called AdBrite after I continued to see my first SearchDomainsForSale.com ad running.

They did not see the updated ad in their system so I resubmitted and got a confirmation email that it's in there now. However, I still see the first ad here at namepros. They did say that the publisher needs to approve any and all banners so maybe namepros hasn't seen or approved the updated banner yet.

Also, sometimes I/we don't see any banner ads running at the top of this page. They say that's because they don't want to burn out the campaign and want to spread the impressions out over many days.

Well, not sure I agree with that one. If I want 200,000 impressions, I'll take them right away thank you.

While I'm writing this there are NO banner ads on namepros and AdBrite user interface won't completely load so I can't see stats. I imagine they are having some growing pains but so far, I like the system.

Anybody else use AdBrite or something similar?

Never used adbrite but if they accepted paypal i would in a flash.

I do think namepros spreads the imppressions because the users are mostly the same all the time so they will be seing your add a good few times. So if they leave/spread the imppresions you get a better click through rate.Which is a good thing for you and namepros as you will have more succes with it spread over time than the 1 big bang.

They are defiantly having growing pains. I have been having problems with my campaigns starting and stopping on there own. I had a billing malfunction to. I think they are not prepared for all of this instant business. Hopefully they get there IT guys on overtime to make there system more stable.

I do have to say there doing better with there customer service. Before you would call but never get threw to anyone. Now every time i call i get threw to people right away. I will stay with them as long as they don't start outsourcing there support to India like everyone else.

Does anyone know how they got so big overnight? I don't think they spent a penny on advertising.

If you get a paypal debit card, any site that takes a credit card takes paypal.
