| Need more traffic
I need more traffic for my site http://www.yarrt.com I've got a few link exchnages going and I have more backlinks than montypython.com but I am barely getting any traffic (stats here). So whats the best way to get more traffic to my site? I am updating as much as possible and putting as many things on it as I can but visits are erratic and follow no pattern what-so-ever, some help please.

· #3 | | Account Closed | Have you tried writing articles or reviews and submitting them to article directories with your link somewhere in the article? That usually helps me get some traffic.
Also, I saw your site, it looks good but you need to make it more "alive" if you want your visitors to come back. Add some pics of your games at the least. | |

2. the news should get a facelift, its hard to see when the site was updated and to read because of the colors.
3. get link exchanges with those college humor type of sites, use toplists, that should increase your hits tremendously
4. create a sitemap and submit it to google
5. submit to other directories, links are in this forum

| Have something that will draw a lot of clicks easily findable on the front page. For instance, if your joke or game section is updated every day, put part of a daily joke or a game of the day on the front page. | |

Also, if I may suggest, you do not necessarily need to be an expert - there are always forum posts started by people who do not understand the first thing about the topic at hand, so that is your big opportunity to be Captain Obvious.
