Make a Little Cash, ideas?

Hey guys,

I want a way to make a little cash off of my site. But I don't want ads. Do you guys have any ideas?

BTW, my site is http://www.javascriptpalace.com (im not trying to advertise).

Well sell some premium scripts then or even have a premium area of your site.

hmmph.... Well. My site is only about JavaScript, and I don't think people would buy JavaScript scripts. lol But thanks for the ideas!

Thats not going to make money, its only going to bring in more visitors. And would usually cost.

I think they mean that you could sell text links on your own website. At most, you could make $1.00 per link, but it's better than nothing.

Have some sort of premium member support system. Or put silent .exe in your downloads hehe

Every link on the site gave a 404 so I guess you should handle that first.

Then I would put Google Adsense on your site in order to make some money and make the ads look like part of the site so it doesn't really look like ads. Otherwise get some high PageRank and sell text links.

Acutally I was referring to selling textlinks on your own site.

IF you sell your text links - depending on your traffic, pr, etc, you can make between $10-$100 / month /per link. So you can see, easily covering hosting costs, etc with text links.

Earn some money by giving support for the free script...also if wanna make money..provide support for installing of the javascript on client sites...dat way u can earn decent amount of money...

I would disagree with paid JS idea, or paid support for JS / installation etc. At most JS snippets are free everywhere and are easy to setup. So think about some google ads which are branded within your design, a way that won't seem like you use 3rdparty ads. I think if your site attracts a lot of traffic, you can make something with these ads. Good luck.

Many people would love to use scripts but have no clue about how to install. Offer an affordable installation service for all your scripts.

All of the scripts on my website won't be all mine. People will have the ability to submit their scripts to my website. So that would be like me making money off of someone else's scripts.

People who want to use the scripts on your site need to be able to install them. If they can't do it themselves, they have to look for someone to do it for them. You'd be providing a much needed service. And people submitting free scripts would be aware of that fact. I don't see any conflict. You're not making money on the scripts. You're selling your labor.

Yeah, I guess thats true. But that will add a ton of extra work, however it depends on how many people want them installed. Its a good idea, but too much work.

I think the best way would be banner ads, but since you said that you don't want ads I think you pretty much restrict your own income.

Right. You may wish to reconsider your aversion to ads. They are everywhere these days, and people won't think less of you or your website if they see them on your site.
