Basically, the Link Exchange Requests Forum is a self-explanatory concept. This forum is for you if you are:

• the owner of a website wishing to have links on other websites
• a website owner who wants links to other sites on his/her website
• wishing to engage in a trade with another member in which both website owners exchange each others' links
• over 48" tall and not experiencing neck or back problems (the Link Exchange Requests forum is exciting, however, we can't guarantee the physical thrill a roller coaster provides)

If you own a website, and you are looking to expand your reach by having links on other websites, create a thread with the following information:

• Name and URL of Website
• Brief Description
• Target Audience
• Traffic Details
• Brief Description of site wishing to exchange link with
• Other comments

If you're the owner of a website or directory looking for website owners to exchange or submit links, create a thread with the following information:

• Name and URL of Website
• Brief Description
• Target Audience
• Traffic Details
• Brief Description of sites wishing to post links of/exchange link with
• Other comments

After you create your post with the necessary information, other NamePros members will be able to view your requests and respond accordingly.

Be specific in your thread title. Not only does it help page organization, but it allows potential "linkers" to see your thread more easily and search out exactly what both of you are looking for.

Example post:
Title: Looking for Link Exchange - Domain Droplists; 200 uniques/day - Domain Forums

• Name and URL of Website: Etab's Droplist Dungeon - www.dropdung.com
• Brief Description: An informational website providing daily lists of dropped and expiring domain names
• Target Audience: All domain name users; any ages
• Traffic Details: PageRank 5, 200 uniques/day
• Brief Description of site wishing to exchange link with: Domain name forums
• Other comments: Droplist Dungeon is the simplest, yet most comprehensive expiring domain page; please reply by February 31, 2007

Services that are allowed:

1) Directory submission

2) Article submission.

3) Forum posting. [Manual forum posting.]

4) Press release submission.

5) Real, manual genuine comments on behalf of a site owner are allowed.

6) Real, manual and genuine forum posting on behalf of a client in relevant forums is allowed.

7) Social Bookmarking is Allowed but only in their personal account. That is 1 account per 1 person and he can only bookmark a site in that account.

*Services that offer creating 100 social bookmarking accounts and pasting 100 links in each account is spam.


Services that are not allowed:

1) WHOIS Blast.

2) Comments Blast.

3) Forum profile creation.

4) Link wheels and other Social bookmarking sites.

5) Trackback blast.

6) Buying and selling of user accounts - No user accounts of any kind can be bought, sold or traded (including, but not limited to, MySpace, Facebook, RapidShare, eBay, Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo!, etc.). This includes any services that promote the creation or sale of accounts in any forums, social networking sites, or anything else that involves the transfer of personal registration.
(Parking accounts are included)

7) Yahoo answers posting services.

8) Google +1, Digg first page service etc. Not allowed.
(Google and DIGG TOS prohibits this)

9) "Facebook Likes" or "Twitter Follow" incentives or services offering this feature are not permitted.
(FB and Twitter TOS prohibits this)

[All others services similar to this that might come in future will not be allowed.]


More services that will fall under this criteria will be removed and or added. Rules will be updated accordingly.



General Business Rules that you should follow:

1) Terms and conditions should be mentioned in the thread itself by the seller, mention all the facts right into the thread itself, so that there won't be issues later on.

2) Try to offer services with detailed explanation of the things you are going to do for the buyer. If you are looking to get some work done then try to write it in detail about your requirements.

3) If a seller agrees to a predefined timeframe and is not able to deliver the services in that timeframe then he is liable if buyer complains about him. If you want more time then mention it to the buyer. If buyer wants to give you more time then he can. But if he doesn't wants to give you more time then you are liable as you already agreed to finish it in a predefined time.

4) All people backing out of deals will be considered liable to pay the amount agreed for that particular deal.

5) No links to checkout services either direct to Paypal, google etc or via a "service provided" EX: ejunkie etc

6) Seller pays the Paypal Fees - Asking a buyer to pay the Paypal fees is against Paypal's Tos therefore not permitted here.


Thread Bumps and Asking for Review Copies

1) Useless bumps. Like "Thank you", "Order Received", "I am working on it", "Thanks a lot for your order" "PM sent" etc are considered as bumps.

If you want to communicate with the buyer after he purchases your services then use PM to let him know that you are thankful and working on it.
PM Sent and/or short spammy posts are not permitted and will be deleted.

2) Asking for a free review copy is not allowed. If a seller wants to give out a review copy he or she has to mention it in opening post that he or she will provide a free review copy.
