I hope either denic or afilias gets this contract. They are much more innovative and responsive to customer concerns compared to Verisign, and should be able to move the .net namespace to greater heights.

Animal Rescue Special Olympics Third World Education VA Tech Memorial

I was hoping Verisign didn't get it, since it's kind of a lost step child to them. I think a separate company with only that TLD would better market it properly as THE network domain.

Looks like that probably won't happen now.

it's not the end yet.

Actually, it should make it easier for Verisign to move the .com registry to EPP
if they let go of the .net registry: less work.
