Market's Mid-Range Flexes Its Muscles This Week With 39 Solid 5-Figure Sales

The new weekly domain sales Report is out at DNJournal.com. While no six-figure domain sales were publicly reported this past week there was plenty of strength in the market's mid-range with 39 solid five-figure sales entering the books. 13 of those were .coms, five were ccTLDs and two were non .com gTLDs (including one that ranks among the year’s five biggest in that category). We also have some comments on a “press release” you may have seen claiming that PrivateJet.com sold for $30 million in cash and “stock.” You can get all of the details here: http://www.dnjournal.com/archive/dom...2/20120229.htm

How reliable are these reported sales!? The eatchesse.com selling for $25k when it was registered 2 weeks ago and I can't imagine many people searching for "eat cheese" , let alone the typo "eat chesse".

Good point. I've been skeptical of "reported sales" at DNJournal.com for a long time, with good reason. Does the Snapnames scandal ring a bell? How about Godaddy allowing Adam Dicker to screw clueless bidders by stealthily bidding against them at Godaddy TDNAM auctions while Dicker was a VP at Godaddy. Dicker dicks you and I in the butt, and DNJournal publishes Dicker's picture at some domain event dining on a nice steak dinner with a big smile on his face. No mention of the ethics lapses from DNJournal, only glad-handing and ass-kissing.

I believe Ron Jackson was publishing DNJournal back then. Yes, Ron Jackson. Remember that.

The eatchesse sale is GREAT NEWS for all chesse names. By extrapolating keyword search volume I found available dot coms that should top eatchesse type-in traffic including two that could meet or beat the gold standard. I'd hand reg all of these but I'm half way thru a jug of Gavilyte and can't sit at the computer.

GAKT global monthly search volume exact match
[eat cheese] = 260
[blue chesse]* = 260
[cottage chesse]* = 260
[chesse pizza]* = 170
[swiss chesse]* = 91
[goat chesse]* = 46
[eat chesse] = <10

* = dot com is available to hand reg

XYdomain is on a distinguished road

That's mean not all the sales reported inside is true? Indeed the sale and the reg date of eatchesse is weird.
