Auction just ended recently so it'll take couple of days before transaction is completed.

great news. buyer got a great deal.
seller should have gone through a broker, could have fetched him an easy 6 figure.

Wow, That is an awesome domain!

That is more than 5x higher than their last highest priced sale ever...unbelievable!

Congrats to all involved here...Seller, Buyer, and Bido!

Just goes to show you shouldn't sell your ultra-premium domains on bido.

Nice! I had the 10th vote, should be good for $104.

Whoever placed the first three should get $616!

I was the one who placed the first three votes, but in my VoteForProfits menu it is showing that the "auction closed without a winner". Hmmm...I hope they make this right.

Who ever bought it got one heck of deal. I wouldn't be surprise if the new owner resell it for 6 figures 6 months from now.

Seems it (pad sale) will be closed from what Ive heard. Great to see a sale of this magnitude on bido, it sure bodes well for the future.
We have some domains in a featured bido auction which are closing on weds 13th april. None will hit this kind of figure but two (BrandingStrategy.com and ScrapMetalPrices.net) have already beaten reserve which is encouraging.

Who would sell such an excellent name on Bido. Nice deal for the buyer though..

It would have been an easy 6 figure Sale if sold via broker or SEDO.

I should have voted on that on bido ..would earn some 600$ :/ :gl:

I was just lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. :)

At this point though, we voters have not been paid, so that must mean that the transaction has not yet concluded. I have been watching the WHOIS information to see what is happening and while it was updated on the 8th, the name servers have remained the same.

Although a good place to buy them evidently!

To be honest no it doesn't. If I owned a domain of this magnitude and was considering selling this sale would put me off of using Bido. The price is very low for such a domain in my opinion.

If high profile sellers see domains going for so cheap they will simply not list them.

That's on the seller. They choose to set the price to the minimum they're willing to accept for it. Put it at a high price or what you're willing to accept, if it doesn't sell, no biggie, you still have the domain and can sell it elsewhere. And since you can get good prices like this as a buyer for premium names such as this, it will attract more buyers when names like this come up in the future, which may in turn help the price for the seller. Time will tell.

Trying to find some recent sales of 3 letter.com words, Namebio is have issues choosing character length but got this from dnsale price:

pug.com - $31,600
pat.com - $63,000
mod.com - $75,000
pad.com - $80,000
pow.com - $100,000
won.com - $115,000

Maybe a little better at SEDO, who knows but still a good sale I think.

Looks like I'm in the minority by saying that with such limited uses the seller should be happy with the sale.

Looks like domain didnt change the owner. No dns changes after april 11., web site is same as 2 years ago and domain is still listed for sale at $135,000 through Godaddy.

And I agree with above post - good price for a domain with limited development ability - anything tech related on it could lead to Apple knocking on your door :)
