as the registration fee (depending on the registrar of course) will be below $100 there should be plenty of domains, which are worth registering. Porn.cm is for sure a nice one, or Hotels.cm. Many other gernics as well.

Looks like the Cameroon registry removed the wilcard: abcdefg.cm - no more $$$ for Mr Ham via .CM typos.

Sunrise period from 15th June. Anyone got any trademarks? ;-)

for the landrush you don't need TM, and from what we were told from the registry, names like hotels.cm will be available for registration in the landrush.

No the process is like .asia, more then one application means auction time... so of course to maximize profit for the cameroonians

After years of testing names, the names that are making good money will be not given away imo. Those names will be like , "oops, someone else had gotten the name" so just be careful.

Imo, you are just paying for the names that dont even make a money.

So lets wait and see who are going to be Good Suckers?

Curious: How is "Hotels" a TM?

Generic, no?

When I was a newbie (two years ago), I checked the price of a cm. It was over $500.00 for one year.

If that price is still in effect, that will cool a lot of heels.

first they have to decide thru their tender which registry operator will get it. After this, I think they will start promoting it,, integrating as many registrars as possible and then launch, so end 2009 early 2010
