Weird.
I'm curious if the eventual "buyers" will be more of the same Usual Suspects™ ... and also whether these domains will come with mandated development requirements, as well?

Thanks for any additional insight.

well i would imagine mostly 'usual suspects' (aka domainers) given that this is the case with a large percentage of domain backorders overall in any extension.

these are domains that have dropped so of course there are no development requirements..

Thanks for the clarifications ... it's reasonable, then, to believe that few, if any, of these will actually be developed in the near future - which is essential for an "dot Mobey" extension and its critical "ecosystem" ... that is also quite likely on the brink of possible foreclosure / extinction, IMHO.

R.I.P.

no, but you said it was on the brink of foreclosure/extinction.

if a TLD was going to be shut down there are more obvious choices such as the struggling .travel, who 1 year ago was having trouble paying the fees to remain an active TLD.

I was talking ... about the critically important developed "ecosystem".
Ironically, since mTLD has effectively abandoned it and the RFP process ... it's now possible that ICANN could remove the struggling "dot Mobey" from the root, IMHO.

Righto, both .TRAVEL and .NAME ... and then possibly another long, unnecessary, and awkward extension; the struggling "dot Mobey"!
