New Pricing Structure at ResellerClub

Quote:
New Pricing Structure:
As mentioned in the previous mailer, the entire ResellerClub Slab based Pricing Structure will be revamped from the 30th of September. Instead of 6 slabs, we will now be moving to 4 slabs with Slab 3 being the Best Slab. The Total Receipts for each of the corresponding Slabs remain the same. Please refer to the table below for the new pricing structure:

Slabs Total Receipts gTLD Pricing*

Base Slab USD 199 USD 9.49
Slab 1 USD 499 USD 8.89
Slab 2 USD 1499 USD 8.39
Slab 3 USD 2999 USD 7.89
*Pricing applicable to .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info and .name Domains
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/industry-news/516856-new-pricing-structure-at-resellerclub.html

The new pricing structure will only be beneficial for you as you now only need Total Receipts worth $2999 to get the Best Slab Pricing for ALL domain extensions.

Any comments?

The $12,000 level resellers are completely screwed now.

Also while other registrars are only increasing by 50 cents or so, ResellerClub is shooting themselves in the foot with a 90 cent increase for most slabs (some higher).

ResellerClub just became very unattractive.
Glad I resisted transferring into them.

Is eNom the last decent reseller registrar? Seriously? Ugh.

Basically ResellerClub is pandering to the people who don't give them enough business, over the ones that do. Guess since the top management has been hanging around with the top merchant bankers in America, they're learning their ways.

While the Base Slab guys actually get a 50c price cut on .biz, .info and .name and are going to be hit with only a 50c increase on .com, .net and .org... the guys on the top slab are being slapped about - 90c increase on all tlds, $1.40 on .name.

They're encouraging new resellers while kicking the top slab guys in the butt - they sure need to rethink their business principles - people who give you more business are more valuable customers. Unless of course you think like Lehman Brothers.

But I guess they think they're too good for us, considering the company is worth $300 million, they don't really need older resellers. I guess they assume there will be new suckers... oops... resellers who will more than make up for the older guys who leave.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=516856

Add to this the fact that the top slab is now $2999 - what a bloody joke, why not just tell us to leave, at least it will be better than this crappy attitude they're showing.

I had a longish conversation with them about this and the gist was that they're 'going' to offer free stuff with each domain, hence our customers are going to be real happy and not mind the 90c increase... kind of stupid in this competitive market. They're currently my biggest registrar, guess that will have to change soon... there are enough people offering enough deals to make it worthwhile for me to move my gTLDs out at least.

Is really a Dumb movement. I have a 3000 and 1500 slab. and i plan to no stay with them except for some domains. In mexico, we have problms and the 3000 USD is a "big" number. The princiàl problem is not only the little margin of profit of domains in general, the problem is they are hurting their primary resource: the resellers who put them MORE money.

Tha natural way of things is stay ahead and do something for us, but , words apart, their dumb movement of made obligatory purchase useless extras, is redundant. By the way. one extra more useful can be a 10 MB space for website, but non than crap.

I think something need check in ipwalk or similar, not associated with them, how many domains lost.

Hey, i begin now a new thread =P

I am completely surprised with resellerclub's move. Have heard quite a few prices announced by various registrars and was expecting something decent from RC. Have done a considerable amount of business with the company and am irritated with the irrationality displayed. Received a mail from their side which they have used to justify the price hike with regards to the free products and services that they would start offering.

I also got in touch with my account manager to understand the concept. It seems like RC is planning on using a different path to benefit their Resellers (atleast in their words). They apparently will be monetizing a few of their new products and will share the ad revenue with their Resellers - something which we as resellers can use as a source of generating regular revenue. I have not really understood this and dont know how this will actually work.. but curious.. does anybody else know anythig bout this?

They're also holding a webinar. This is the mail I received from them -

Is strange. By the way, i am holding with them some old customers but many of the customers i am passing to dynadot ... i begin six months ago.

By the way, for price resellone.net is a Very good option, not for customers maybe but ok for us, domainers holders.

Basically we've taken a call, we're moving our gTLDs.

For ccTLDs we'll see the attitude - they've already increased .in by 50c earlier this year, one more hike and we're out.

I think this price increase at RC is to try and promote the LogicBoxes Domainer Accreditation Program to larger resellers. Great idea - drive away existing resellers in the hope they might sign up as registrars.... only its not going to fly.
