After the frenzy of the countdown, and some
fantastic sales of these LLLL's
What has happened? A slump in sales? Over-saturated?
You couldn't find one for under $70 bucks, actually it
was probably closer to $100 - now, after watching the
auction, it seems to have come to an abrubt halt!
You know, I only WISH I had the cash to scoop up
all those LLLL's that no one else grabbed. There was some
great deals to be had...and I think a year from now...I'll still
be crying
Anyone know what's happened to cause this slowdown?
Something else hotter?
their increase was unreal and it couldnt continue
it is a nice time to buy, just buyout was better as prices will increase significantly again when drops are almost none and it will happen probably by august
besides corection there were other factors made their prices decrease as countdowns (as Netizen posted), recession and scammers
I know some of the scammers have put a dent in the market but basic supply and demand reasoning has to come into play at some point. I think the lower LLLL.net and the potential quick return on the .net has affected the market demand.
If you just flipped your LLLL.com for 10-20X what you paid for it, would you buy a LLLL.com for $100 or register 20 LLLL.nets to flip?

great point here.
People actually offloaded LLLL coms at great prices, and now that the rush period is over, they are further looking for flips.
The keyword here is "flip" looking for a ROI faster. LLLL coms are here to stay, but they are no longer fast flips. You can buy and keep them as a comparatively longer investment.
Also, i think the LLLL net fever is catching on with some. And i can see the 10% of .com thinking seeping in now!
6 months ago there were still un-regged LLLL.com , think about it, just 6 months.
Of course when people saw their investments multiply in no time for 10 times or more, they cashed because they joined with no faith in the long run.
Now, once the flippers are gone, the scammers have been taken care of (I hope) ,the drops are getting less and less, we are expecting a STEADY SLOW INCREASE for prices.
Just look at Ergo`s graph about the drops.

Even at $45, it's still a good rate higher than what it was a mere months ago, and with everybody putting their money on other possibly good speculative items (like LLLL.nets), demand is on a temporary chill. But it'll go up, no doubt about it. Only question is how soon, or if it goes down just a tad before it soars again.

At their absolute peak, min wholesale was around $60. Currently, min wholesale is around $30, or a decrease of about 50%. While that may seem like alot, it's not all that much more than many tech stocks have crashed since December and still represent a very sizeable return on investment for those who bought in pre-buyout.
As reported on my blog, the market seems to be splitting up into 2 distinct groups:
1. Unpronounceable, common LLLL.coms with bad letters and most quad premiums
2. Pronounceable and/or rare/"distinct" LLLL.coms
These 2 separate markets are behaving very differently at present. While #1 has seen a 50% devaluation over the last couple months, #2 has in many cases seen 100%+ increases over that same time period, led by CVCVs, quad premium VCVCs, and other pronounceables. Prices on triple letter, AABB, and ABBA are also up considerably. If you take the median price reported, LLLL.coms are up considerably recently. If you take what the median LLLL.com (in other words, the 228488th best) prices have fallen considerably.
Depending on what lens you observe LLLL.com data through, either answer is correct. The only really definitive answer is that type 1 LLLL.coms have plummetted in value while type #2 LLLL.coms continue to soar.
With the current state of the dollar most other currencies find it cheaper to buy .coms, euros and UKŁ exchange rates particularly. It would be of interest to see geographic areas of selling and buying interest, but beyond me I think
LLL.us were at $150 minimum at one point
LLL.biz were around $110-$120 as well...
Both are now worth about 1/2 that or less!
LLLL.com's will ONLY increase for premium quality names. POPA being a good example. If you own KXQF.com I wouldn't be too excited. I also don't have any faith in the LLLL.net market. When CCC.com's took off the conventional wisdom was the CCC.net's would also...The CCC.net's are SOLD OUT yet they are going NO WHERE and it's been about a year.
My belief...brandable 5L.com's like Witza.com (yes that's mine). They may not flip incredibly fast but over time companies are gonna want brandables and part of that equation is SHORT and PRONOUNCABLE...something MOST LLLL.com's are not. Just not enough room for good vowel position. 5L's
