![]() ![]() | Gmail inbox size limits?!?! They said it was "unlimited"! I logged into my gmail account today and say this as a banner accross the top: You are almost out of space for your Gmail account. You can view our tips on reducing your email storage or purchase additional storage. It's a link that gives you these options: Please select a plan: Your new plan will automatically renew, but we will contact you 30 days prior to charging your credit card. 6 GB ($20.00 per year) 25 GB ($75.00 per year) 100 GB ($250.00 per year) 250 GB ($500.00 per year) Well, I'll probably upgrade to the 6gb plan...at least I know the stockholders are happy : ) |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | If you want to keep all of your old email, but want to free up space in your account, just create a seperate account and forward it.

![]() | At some point in time most users will out strip their free email storage allocation. At that point Gmail are banking that a big percentage of users will be so familiar with the service that they will be willing to pay for it.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | why not actually delete content you do not want. A part of the problem nowadays is because people have so much space they do not see the need to delete anything then start complaining when they run out. To be perfectly honest normal emails should not reach 2 gig. At present I am only using 2% of my gmail account as I delete anything as soon as I am finished with it. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/industry-news/364778-gmail-inbox-size-limits-they-said.html
I would not call gmail lame especially as they give you 2GB of space absolutely free.

But even still I've never surpassed 50MB. I think there needs to be a way for people to start out with x MB and increase it themselves (with a max limit of course). This way people like me who don't use a full 2 gigs can let somebody else use it...or something

![]() | Then after you delete them all the first time, keep up with them deleting them right away, that is what I do.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I get around 2,000 new email in my inbox and around 15,000 in spam folder per day. I DO archive a lot of stuff but I'm rarely over the 5% level. I deal a lot in large attachments too but I normally will save those elsewhere as soon as I get them so I can delete the original email. I wouldn't have an issue paying for it personally.... just the TIME I save. I've used so many different spam filtering programs and Gmail's filters are the most accurate of all. I may get from 0-5 emails end up being filtered into spam folder. Around 300-500 emails that go in inbox per day are actually spam. That's pretty good compared to what I've seen elsewhere.

![]() ![]() ![]() | Can you create a new Gmail account? 2 emails = > 4 Gb worth of storage.. Not to mention that Hotmail and Yahoo also have big spaces now....I don't think that email space is really going to be a problem. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Me too at 7% right now have saved each and every email from last 4 years still just using 7% ![]() But as soon as I started using it I was liking it. My practice to keep my gmail clean is that I only use it for semi-professional purposes and use my yahoo and other ID's for registering at places where I myself know I will be getting newsletters and emails which I wouldn't care much for.

![]() ![]() ![]() | Probably nobody clicks on the ads inside the Gmail email. So to augment the lack of earning through their email program, they opted for this new way.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Connections gmail are not going to give you more room because you are lazy. If you deleted them as you got them it would be a much easier task. Also any emails that do not go straight to the spam folder can be marked as spam so later emails should get caught.

![]() | You really shouldn't have to worry about running out of space, lol. I don't ever delete stuff for the past fews year and I have been fine. Unless you are using it for something like gmail drive.
