![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Congratulations are in order to both Sedo and DNF for this fine partnership. We at Namepros of course have our own initiatives, and shall reveal them in due time. P.S. Notice that you can actually mention DNForum and DNF in Namepros, as evidenced by this thread. Try mentioning Namepros in DNF even in the context of a discussion or PM, and see what happens.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Unfortunately, turf battles seem to be the rule rather than the exception in online enterprise. I find the claim surprising that DNFourm is the "World's Largest Domain Name Discussion Arena." Does anyone know if this is actually true? Is there an independent source that verifies statistics like this?

![]() ![]() ![]() | In terms of posts and threads it appears it is. NP has 8000 members though. No offence to NP, but most "larger" domain deals that are done on DNF and some on DS. But NP is doing very well.. It's a great community! |

![]() ![]() | To me it seems as if the DNForum membership is primarily composed of old timers with a majority that can be described as ".commers", with lots of ego and stubborn thought process. On the other hand, NP seems to thrive on young domainers who have lots of drive and who has lots to learn; DomainState seems to be kind of in the middle of the two.

![]() | Honestly, DNF is full of more experianced domainers with larger budgets for the most part - the signup fee pretty much ensures you have to be a serious domainer to sign up there. But NamePros is also an awesome community, the members here are always willing to help, and I have also sold quite a few domains here.

![]() ![]() ![]() | That "partnership" happened a month ago and I didn't even think it was worth mentioning. I specifically won't do business at DNForum for several reasons (including the censorship one). But instead of picking on them, lets talk about Sedo for a minute. While Sedo has a pretty interface, it's still not that advanced (Afternic may not be as pretty but it has MANY more features) and the sales at Sedo are VERY slow. They seem to hold out for the larger sales while Afternic keeps busy. Has anyone here ever sold anything at Sedo? Was it for a decent price? |

![]() | Ummm, aww, I dont think you know what you are talking about: Afternic has had serious issues, they have not been selling names well at all and just got caught up in a major domain theft case. Sedo records high sales weekly - some of these are very expensive, high profile names - just check: www.dnjournal.com Sedo is by far the best selling agent out there...no competition... ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=36134 As for DNF, it has many pros and if you dont believe that than you are either ignorant or stupid. NamePros.com is a more friendly, community, while DNF is a more strict place of business.... The are both special and wonderful in their own way

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | HI I visit all 3 domain forums daily, in this order, NamePros, DNF, DS And I also rate them in that order... I just like the atmosphere at NamePros a lot more then the other two Thanks Tom Dahne Expired Domain Spy http://www.expireddomainspy.com |

![]() | ya, I agree with the atmosphere thing... DS really pissed me off, I was banned for something I did over 18 months ago, when I first started in this business and they didnt let me defend myself...and wont let me back in. I dont mind though, I have a good rep here and at DNF...and these 2 forums are both awesome

![]() ![]() ![]() | I think both forums are great! There seems to be more new interesting stuff added daily to NP, so I spend more time here. I find it interesting that Sedo decided to partner with a popular forum. I would assume that everyone at DNForum already knew about Sedo, but not everyone at Sedo knew about DNForum. Sounds like a great way for DNF to get new members! The fact that NP is free will continue to draw new members here.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Basically the fact that you have to pay to post on DNF makes me turn away.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | DNF was the first domain name forum I discovered also. It is very different in style and member interaction. Also, as you say, you have to pay to play.
