eBay has bought India's largest online auction company, Baazee.com, for $50 million USD.

This purchase puts eBay into 29 countries!

(note this is not just a domain sale, it includes the full service)

a lot of people in india - that could be a good thing and a bad thing.

suthra that is a very good point about PayPal possibly coming to India because of ebay's presence there. I never understood why certain countries were in PayPal's list but others were not. Looking forward to an added market for some of my clients.

Nice, I don't recall visiting Baazee before, but then again, I suppose that's Indian's version of eBay. $50 million sure is a lot, let's see how great the return is.
