![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Google unveils new search homepage and search results look Google seems to have launched their new homepage: - Link to Froogle on the front page - search results have links to froogle, adwords look different on the right hand side - a little different color scheme. I wonder if this will improve clickthrough results for adwords advertisers and move Froogle out of beta. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | the search results don't have a blue line across the top? The adwords are also no longer have multi colored backgrounds. They all have white backgrounds. Maybe they have only released it to some servers or some users.

![]() ![]() | I havent been to google in a while ever since their big updates that screwed so many people out of money. But it looks a lot more commercial now. They seem to be changing their ways slightly. Same crappy results I am a Y! & Altavisita searcher now. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | hmm...that's weird. The results I get from google are just fine. It's interesting when people use the word "commercial" like it's a bad thing. Isn't that what businesses are supposed to be? Yahoo results seem to be pretty good, but altavista's seem to be not as relevant.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | They have always been a model of simplicity and that has been a strength. But in this case it looks TOO simple to me. I liked the previous look just fine.

![]() ![]() | I hate change. :-( Yahoo clubs abandoned me and now google too? Google's algorythm change a few months ago only shuffled things around a bit and it certainly didn't make things more fair. I often come across search results that list questionable sites, sites that dupe google. For instance, there is only one "chateau golf and country club" in the world, yet google lists golf directories that happen to mention this phrae in their title tag. All of the other search engines get it -atlatavista, alltheweb, search.yahoo, even msn- but google doesn't. How can google claim to be better? The other search engines have caught up. |

![]() ![]() | commercial meaning they are getting into selling more things such as more ads and easier searches for products to buy. Not to mention more colors and layouts. The simple google is no more.. from what it used to be. Google has built their business on simplicity and that is what google is known by. Honestly, I dont care what they do with their business but when they say they are not going to sell out I expect them to stick with it. The side ads are to big and creep into the results, also. |

![]() Google is the Internet's leading search engine and has a hundred more features than any other search engine. I wonder what you were searching for that produced crappy results... | ||||

![]() | they can never be everything to everyone ... the problem is in the dns naming structure including the extensions ... the internet was supposed to be about information , communication, and commerce but without a correct use of extensions - i.e ; .com for commerce .info for information and search engines built around one pathetic domain name ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=25021 they end up trying to cram all categories and such onto one page that links to ridiculous , long and impossible to remember pages imagine how easy it would have been if you could just type www. the keyword - .com if you want to buy or sell or .info if you want information only ... i pity them with the gross spending on developing the brand and huge backend costs it makes U wonder what we will C in the future

![]() Funny hearing people say they (Google) screwed people out of money and are going commercial, maybe its just that two guys in a basement all those years ago are making it for themselves (and their kids generation) so people are jealous? Google rocks, their trying to slow down the spam and seo cheating as always occurs on the net, if you going to be angry about something on the net go find a spammer and face em in real life with a bat! ![]() ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=25021 Just my 2cents, Warm Wishes,

![]() ![]() | a lot of ligit companys lost a lot of money on those updates. I guess a lot of people dont understand the amount of time in marketing a business online. not to mention rent, hiring emloyees and such both offline and online and trying to feed your kids with one search engine monopolizing the internet and totally relying on it. Thank god things are changing now. |
