Spamzilla.com sold for $35,000

The domain name spamzilla.com has been sold from Essatte Ltd., Hong Kong, to International Software Systems Solutions, Florida. Market Evolver Ltd. organized the sale.

"We are definitely seeing a rebound in the value of domain names.' said Steven Tracy, Market Evolver's C.T.O. "This time last year it was rare to see a domain name go for more than $10,000. In the last few months there have been dozens of them. I expect that we will see many more high value sales this year."

I would love to know how those negotiations went. That seller had some stones to ask $35k+ for that name. Great sale.

Yeah! that's what I'm talking about, a little creativity and determination never hurt anyone...

I hope I can get that much for phpzilla...

"International Software Systems Solutions" (what a mouthful) has a product called "StopZilla" so I guess spamzilla is worth $35k in some warped way to them.

I get the strange feeling this was not a pure cash deal with immediate payment. High price domain sales for strange domain names, seems to be a good way to get free advertising these days...

You're a little late to ask that question, since it seems they already bought the domain.
