am worryied by this i own a number of co.uks and after reading that ill defo stay away from trademarked co.uks

Each individual ccTLD has the authority to do as it wishes. The .co.uk registrar has chosen to deal with disputes themselves without WIPO.

A list of the country's that WIPO provides these services for can be found at http://arbiter.wipo.int/domains/cctld/index.html.

Note as well that it is listed as 'the service provider for the gTLDS which to me means that this is a commercial service that WIPO is offering.

I don't see what all the fuss is about and don't understand what you mean by it 'sucks' Bill1 - stay away from trademarks full stop IMO

Trademark domains aren't a good idea in any extension!
