New at DNJournal: $800,000 Sale Sends 2005 Out With a Bang!

The weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com and it was the kind of sensational week that was fitting to finish off a sensational year. There were three huge six-figure sales totaling over $1.5 million and dozens of high dollar domains in the supporting cast. On the new extension side .US had the #1 sale (one big enough to put the American extension on the mainstream leader board as well). In terms of sheer numbers, .info did it again, taking 7 of 9 positions on our final New TLD chart (it will be retired after this week with .us, .info and .biz heading off to a pair of new charts that will debut next week).

Read all about it here: http://www.dnjournal.com/domainsales.htm

DNJournal also got a face lift with the New Year. In addition to a fresh coat of paint, the new wrinkles include a signup form for a free newsletter and email updates letting you know when new stories and sales reports have been posted. We are also working with a designer on some major improvements under the hood and other new features are planned for the weeks ahead. Jan. 1 was our third anniversary. Thanks for your help in keeping us in business that long!

And thanks for the one-man show that single-handedly defined the industry for what it is with such rich resolution and depth and even-handedness, dukey. The domain industry owes you.

Best wishes for DNJ in the year ahead!

And even though it's only the first week and in the #20 spot, I'm glad to see a .us on the Big-Big-Board

HI

Not to sound like I do not like the new DNjournal look... it is ok, but I think the old layout was much better then the new one..

The colours on the new layout look pretty messy...

Thanks
Tom Dahne
