In countries that use the Latin script and speak a language other than English:
IDN's are,
1. something useless,
2. just another failed product that only help the registrars make more money,
3. something that will never be used,
4. something domain amateurs like to talk about to make themselves look more knowledgeable,
5. one of those things that you shouldn't do just because it is possible
6. a step backward regarding accessibility

In countries that don't use the Latin script:
IDN's are,
1. something useful.
2. something that is actually used and accepted by the public.

some of the idn investors are quite excited by the upcoming application of .com and .net idn applications for many languages , some would say still many opportunities and some would say stay away, me i am happy to own about ten or so but would not to bases my portfolio on them .......it's just to easy to make mistakes with other peoples languages

If by Latin script you mean Latin alphabet (and not Latin(romance) language) , well, go tell your story to the Germans! LOL

German IDNs are the most successful IDNs to date.
