Internationalized characters and browsers

Hi, i registered my first IDN but the domain is not displaying correctly in the address bar. I know there was a spoofing problem but why all IDN owners must suffer. I mean in Firefox

network.IDN.whitelist.net
network.IDN.whitelist.com

are not dysplayed, aren't we loosing traffic with the punycode? if the user has the spanish version of a browser will be able to see correctly the IDNs in his browser even for .com and .net or these two extensions have restriction for IDNs?

You won't lose any type-in traffic, and if you rank well in google you will also get traffic.
Things are changing so it won't be too long.
