IDN names translation

Hi there IDN'ners.

Not a IDN'r myself per se (that's Latin, duh.. but not IDN )

I'm here looking for feedback on a new feature on the site I'm running for expiring domains which includes a dropping domain research tool. Domain lists are compiled from SnapNames, NameJet, etc. , including also, Godaddy auctions. IDN's are generally listed on these sites in their punycode format.

What I've done is converted them, for displaying, to their native characters. (I blogged about this re: the advantage of making it possible to search for non-ascii characters)

I've just added IDN translation on the domain's details page. That is, if the dropping domain is an IDN, the page will display the language the term is in, and try to find the correct translation using Google Translate. (I'm working on adding more translators, i.e.Babel Fish, Babylon)

Feedback on this, i.e usefulness/uselessness <- (ğạśṗ!) possible improvements appreciated. (You can post them here, or on the blog)

Thanks!

gopher

..well, that is done, and added PROMT text translation, too.
PROMT translates from French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish, to English.

here is an example of DropAce's dropping domains details for alles-für-alle.info dropping on 2009-06-06. (page can be viewed until this date)

Hope you like it
(and please no more of the previous overwhelming feedback, I can't keep up with it all!
