Almost from the start of the internet to the end......
Imagine yourself as someone that does not speak english but wants to reg english words, where to start.... Thats a hard question to answer...

Do you mean fresh regging, or buying secondary?

Resist the temptation to reg names like shöes.com - nobody will ever buy them from you, and they will never get any traffic. Save the money and buy yourself a 12 pack of beer instead.

Secondary deals can be picked up in the IDN auction section here, and at IDNForums (when it's up).

Get an idea of what "IDNs" are first.

If you are completely new... knowledge is going to save you some good money. I would spend a week researching before spending. I made lots of mistakes with some early Chinese domains.
