but the IDN market still needs a little bit more time to mature...

Theres been a high IDN sale pretty much every week on DNJournal.... Also idntools.net has a large list of IDNs that have sold. What else do you want?

Are there any restrictions for people outside EUROPE [ registration ]?

Can 2 letter domains be registered like be.at , so on ?

I want My neighbour, my uncle, my grocer, my clients, my collegues, to know what the hell an IDN is.

once that happens then i know IDNs have made it.

otherwise its just an inside game between our own small domain community

Do you even read the other forums? What country do you live in? I assume you live in an english speaking nation. Do you know that many of the top japanese/chinese idns etc are owned by people of those respective companies? IDNs will become well known in the countries of Japan, Korea etc.

For your info..... there is a chinese idn forum at idnclub.com (in chinese by chinese natives) and theres also a hugeee IDN board I've seen on naver.com (major korean portal).

No.

If you're transferring the domain to another registrar, you have to pay.

The registrars that I bothered to check are all still charging.
This isn't a case of free IDN if you register, and pay for, a normal domain- i.e. pay for cafe.at and get café.at free (much as the .cat system works), is it?

I PM'ed Central and he said today is SUNDAY, a holiday ... They would update it tomm , so free regns can go on .....

He too isnt SURE about it ... Its just his opinion !
