翻訳.com Top Ten on Weekly Sales Chart

"An IDN domain also cracked the Top Ten this week with 翻訳.com (puny code = xn--pw0a62s.com) going for £4,686 ($8,897) in a private sale to claim the #10 slot. That means "translation" in Chinese(sic)."

This is actually "translation" in Japanese. Great sale, a real bargain for the buyer. One look at the stats tells the story:

JP Ovt = 796889
40 Total bids on JP Ovt Bid Tool with top bid = ¥310 ~ $2.67

The strike price was actually $9,000.

The figure arrived at was produced by DNJournal back calculating from the amount deposited in a Sterling account using their own exchange rate.

When end users are prepared to pay enough to pursuade owners to sell.

It may be of little consequence anyway, as when the majority of my domains are self-sustaining, I will probably stop selling altogether. Current data suggests that that will happen before an end user market is established.
