Hello,

I've always been hopeless at drawing

But as many of us , i'm building websites and begin to use photoshop

I've heard of fireworks and blender.

What's the difference between these software

What can we make with one that we couldnt' make with the other one ?

Eventually, what would you advices me to get and what's your favorite drawing tool

Thank you buddies

I think that these software are complementary to each other. So, try to use them interchangeably to create your projects.

Blender is a 3d software it's open source and free so is Inkscape (a vector drawing program inkscape.org).

So for me it right now its enugh. I use photoshop for my web/print works and inkscape for vector drawings.

Thank you hardwarez, could tell me what you can do with fireworks that you couldn't do with photoshop

For example, you design your website with fireworks and after code it with dreamweaver ( in the case you use adobe software suite),in that case, it doesn't make no sense to use photoshop

Thank you for sharing your experiences buddies

Well blender is like any 3d software more advanced.
I dont use it for my work - didn't had to, I've used it in the past to pass my 3d class
And its good when you get use to it and the posibilites are similar to those paid ones (3d studi max, maya etc).

fot tutorial go here screencasters.heathenx.org they have them for inkscape and blender in the form of videos so its easy to follow.

Also you could look at pixel2life.com in the apropriate section.

Fireworks work really great. But, you will have to spent more time on learning it as photoshop has more guides and learning material out there.
