Ideas for Logo

Hey NP Users,

Here's what I need. I bought a new domain, for my small network. The domain is called ColorsDeluxe.net, and I need a logo for it. The big problem is that I don't know what to do. I know I am a designer, and I should know what to do, but now it's something else. This will be my image all over the internet, and must be really great. I must satisfy me, and also my clients. That's why I'm asking for the opinion of somebody else.

The ColorsDeluxe is the website, that will contain info for the other sites in the network. For example : Blue-Deluxe.com, will be the website for my design portfolio, that will include templates and logos, Green-Deluxe.com, will be for flash, and so on ...

How can I make this, something that look good, and also, something that could be remembered.

I need ideas, and maybe some sketches. If I see some cool ideas, I could reward you somehow.

I think I have spoke to you about this before....

-I really don't like the colours idea, users will get confused on what colour matches each site.

-For a logo i'm thinking maybe a paint tray or a small but modern logo above the word Color, something along those lines.

-I wouldn't use the word "color" either, as it's spelt differently in the UK (colour). I would suggest using a more universal word.

Well, I really don't know what set of domains to use. They must be related somehow.

It's difficult to make a logo for something as broad as this. My suggestion would be to brainstorm your main concepts. Handmade, personal, global and trade. If you were my client this is an idea I would give you. Start with your letters, HMP. Take your H and make a house. Look at the Envator network, they have managed to create a group of sites with a similar domain at the same times as making them understandable and simple.

They have...

ThemeForest
FlashDen
AudioJungle
VideoHive
GraphicsRive
...There all based around "nature".

Maybe you could do the same but around animals.

I tried, but all domains were taken. I couldn't find anything interesting, that could include theme, logo, flash in it. That was my last option.
