![]() | I'd also stick with Dreamweaver if I were going to go with WYSIWYG...

![]() | Maybe the best way for me to decide what program to purchase...ie Frontpage, dreamweaver.....I should just view some sites from each program. Does anyone know of a website that does comparisons of the two programs? Mdadams |

![]() | Front Page or Dreamweaver??? It is not so much the program as it is the designer. Many Front Page websites will look better than Dreamweaver websites and many Dreamweaver websites look better than Front Page websites. If you are just starting out in website design and money is not an object, you may want to get Dreamweaver as it is generally perceived as a better program over all. If you get good at what you are doing and become aware of things that WYSIWYG programs can do wrong you can make great websites with any program. If someone knows how to use FrontPage and knows what to look out for I would challenge anyone to tell the difference between a website created with Front Page and Dreamweaver and you can get a Front Page program a lot lot cheaper than Dreamweaver. Website design programs are a little like cameras. A Leica or a Hassleblad are much better than a basic Canon but if the person taking the photo has a limited budget and cannot figure out f-stop and aperature settings, then they will take much better photos with the Canon model. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Any site that can be built using FrontPage can be built with Dreamweaver & vice versa. For that matter you could use notepad or any other text processor. The basic differences between web page editors are ease of use, features, cost. It's been a couple years since I looked at FrontPage but at that time it produced very heavy code and the code that it output was often not displayed properly in any browser but IE. I'm sure MS has improved FrontPage since then but heck I'm comfortable with MM Dreamweaver now. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Based on personal experiences, I started web designing with FrontPage, the websites turned out fine, just like other websites. Then I started using Dreamweaver. The difference I think is that FrontPage is easier to use than Dreamweaver (for me atleast), but I feel that Dreamweaver has more options and features, so it works for all levels of webdesigners. FrontPage just feels a little limited in regards to your options. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/graphic-design-flash/40775-microsoft-frontpage.html In the end, it just comes down to you. Do you want a program that is easy to use, and has less features(don't get me wrong, it has more than the necessary ones) or do you want a program that has almost all features, and is a little harder to use AT FIRST(once you use it a couple of times, it's pretty good).? I hope this helps .True_Snake |

![]() | I have used fp for years and think it is great! It is easy to use and lets you do a lot of cool stuff. There is an add in product called Front Look and it has some real cool animation. My site is www.survivalguide.com |
