Does anyone know if it is possible to simply replace an image using Photoshop. For example, if you have customized an image to a certain resolution with curved edges, etc. is there any way of keeping it exactly the same but just changing the image?
I am completely new to Photoshop and can't find the answer anywhere!
do you mean resizing it? like say the image is currently 200x200. and you want to make it 100x100. Then you would goto the image toolbar and click image size. Not sure if thats what you mean..

You would have to use a layer mask and select your edge you want to keep and drop the new photo on top on the old one, paint back in your edge and wala. Just one way to do it.
Thanks for all the replies so far - rep added. Rather than making it hypothetical, I have a new site at http://www.woaj.com. I would like to simply replace the image at the top with a new one but keep the same dimensions and text, etc. - is this possible?
No, just to replace the current image with another one so that it is exactly the same size with the same formatting on the edges, etc. I thought there might be an easy way to do it.
Oh...I get what you mean now. Well since the image you want to edit is called "top_home.jpg" just save the exact image on your desktop, and then edit the parts of the image you want to change (which is everything inside the rounded rectangle?).
When you're done editing, you only have to upload the image using the same name (top_home.jpg) and everything will still be the same except for the area inside the rounded rectangle.
