"Invisible background"to logo with illustrator.

Hello.

If i make a logo with illustrator 9, and when i put this logo to webpage witch has black background, then there are white box around logo.

How can i make a invisible background to my logo at start?

There should be some way?

In fireworks it was easy, but i cant figure it out how to make it in illustrator.

Someone said this on a board:

1.) Exporting Illy so that you have a transparent background. First make a invisible box around your logo, make it slightly bigger then the logo so you have some room on the sides. Next, select all and copy, go into photoshop and just hit new, it should default to your illy file. Hit ok, and paste, now you should have your logo on a seperate layer in photoshop, now you can save it how you want...etc...etc... I think that should get you were you need to be.

Thank You, got that problem solved. (I did i like you said)

Now i saved it to gif, but now logo has small white boarder.

I have read much about it from google.....and it seems to be some kind of usual gif problem.

Have anyone discovered how to save gif without that white boarder?

If i would make a logo to someone, then i should every time change that white boarder to other color, to make it fit with different documents backgrounds and so on.

But if logo has multiple colors and backround has different multiple colors, then it is very big work to make those fit. (same)

There really isnt a way to save gif file without that white boarder?

Edit: I got rid of the white boarder with fireworks, but now boarder is very "bad". Very bad big pixels and so on.......

Any way to somehow fix it?
