Flash Splat Effect

Hi, I have searched hi and low in google for this effect but cant find a tutorial anywhere. Hopefully you will know what I mean... when the splat image zooms in then splats, usually seen on banners.

Anyone any ideas on where I could find a tutorial on how to create this effect?

Thanks
Jamie

A bit like when the boy throws the snowball and it splats on the screen at http://www.addesigner.com/images/ads...L/snowball.gif

I dont have a link to a tutorial for it but if you save that banner and open it in ImageReady you'll see that it's fairly easy to do ...

In frame 5, the snowball first appears, in frames 6, 7, 8 the snowball is just scaled a bit larger to make it appear that it is coming toward you ...
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/graphic-design-flash/24194-flash-splat-effect.html

Then in frame 9 you see the first "splat" ... it appears that the artist just drew a "splat" with a pencil tool, then in frame 10, he simply scales the splat a bit larger to make it appear that it is coming toward you ...

So that total splat effect is accomplished in 6 frames and the only magic is a little scaling of the snowball and the splat ... I hope this helps set you in the right direction ..

That sounds about right. The trick is to experiment with the duration of the frames and the size increase or decrease between each graphic. No magic here, folks.
