thanks -s- the site is great, purely because of the amount of talent on it. theres about 500 members, all at varying stages of experience. we teach them from scratch, and try and offer them little challenges.

the site isnt a paying one, its all done for free, and takes about 1.5 million hits per month, which is rising constantly

Ah, I missed the ABOUT page, I guess. Great organization! I'm sure your hits will go up exponentially with such a good resource. Did you start it?

yeah -s- about 18 months ago as a one person site. its grown arms and legs since then.

well, at present theres so much going on. we have live avatar auctions, where designers make them, then others come and bid on them like a real life auction. we use AbD points (pretend money lol) and have a points system in place whereby folk can earm more points doing many different things in association with the avatar site. they each have bank accounts etc, and a bank balance, then can save up and buy themselfs avatars from various designers who wouldnt normally be making avas for others.

also, we have competitions, with prizes, all winners get points to add to their banks, but recently we've had some businesses use the competition facility, and the winners are then gifted something tangible. no money is taken via the site, if this happens its between the company and the designer, to keep us right.

we have our own chatroom where we can meet and chat and hold our live events, it was given to us by the main chat site around that is HTML based (auctions can have in excess of 80 - 100 people there at any given time). this chat site also paid the site fee's as sponsorship. so i no longer have to lay out that cost.

ive rambled, sorry lol but in the future for the site, i want to increase member base, re-introduce live graphics classes, make the site more dynamic, and offer more to the business community, and make it fun for the designers. and if i can arrange little perks for them for their hard work, then id like to enourage that too -s-
