![]() | Having problem with photoshop tutorial Hey, I was following this tutorial and I ran into a problem on step five: "5. Now in your channels window Ctrl+Click the Alpha 1 layer to select it. Once you have it selected go back into your layers palette and click on the ring1 layer (Make sure it is still selected). Now go to Filter/Render/Lighting Effects. Use the default setting with the rest of the settings as follows. Light Type- Directional. I have it coming from the top left area Negative= 35 Gloss= 67 Material= 69 Exposure= 0 Ambience= 8 Height= 50 And most important make sure your texture channel is the "bevel" channel " ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/graphic-design-flash/21456-having-problem-with-photoshop-tutorial.html I have all of the steps correct up to now, but when I get here and try to get to the 'Lighting Effects' in Render, it won't let me select it. I have tried several different variations of the selection of the chanel and the layer but nothing works. Could it be because I have a different version of Photoshop then the tutorial maker? (I'm on 7.0 now) Thanks in advance for any help.

![]() | figured out what you're doing wrong. 'click on the ring1 layer (Make sure it is still selected). ' you're not clicking on the ring1 layer. you need to make sure the layer is blue. then it will work fine. |
