help with flash intro

Would appreciate any help with this situation.
the following is the text from a flash intro I have.
The problem is that when the intro ends, it does not automatically go to the index page. However, If someone clicks on 'skip intro' it does go there.

Please help :-)

name=My Web Site&slogan=A TEST&skip=skip ntro&skipurl=http://www.test.com/index.html&phrase1=whatsupworld&word2=there&word3= hope&word4=bye&finurl=http://www.test.com/index.html&enddata=1

I just can not figure out why the skip intro works, but when the intro finishws it does not follow the finurl and go to the same place. the movie just ends and stays there.

Look at the getURL action thats on the skip intro button for the movie and you need to place that same getURL action (with no button press action) in the last frame of the movie so it goes to the index page.

thanks for the reply.
not quiet sure I understand it.
I bought this flash intro template.
it says to modify it, you change change the text file which I did.
Are you saying I should actually modifu the actualy flash .swf itself?
If so, do tyou know where I can edit it to do that?
in the info that came with the template, it says that the finurl is where it goes after the flash ends, but it isnt doing it :-(

Yeah. You would have to modify the actual SWF in flash. The last frame of the movie should have a getURL action in it that is the same as the one in the "Skip Intro" button thats in the movie. That way the movie knows to just go to that URL at the end of the movie.

Find any frame in the movie that has the skip intro button on it, click on that then look in the actions area. There should be something like "on-press....getURL, then the URL itself and probably the word self so it opens up in the same window. You need that same action minus the on-press in the very last frame of the movie.

If you want to send me the SWF I can always take a look at it. Or if someone else you know that has flash they might be able to help you out if youre not quite understanding what I'm trying to explain. Its kind of difficult to explain but I'm trying.

What youre talking about I believe is a SWF that draws some info from a text file which I dont really have experience with. You might also try checking with the people you got the template from. I wouldnt know too much about all that. I would just try to edit the actual SWF file.

I'm retarded. I realized this shortly after I left the house this morning. Everytime I mentioned SWF, I actually meant FLA. You would need to edit the actual FLA file. The exported working version of that is the SWF file. Havent used flash in awhile so I even confused myself, so I cant even imagine how confusing it is when I'm explaining something wrong. Everything else is correct though...just that the FLA file is what needs to be edited.
