I just got approved by google ad. My two questions are:
- are we allowed to place two blocks of google ad on the same page. If we are, (and I have tried it), sometimes it shows up only 1 block.
- what google ads bases on to display the ads relevant to the content of your page? Does it base on the keyword or is it the title of the page. Sometimes I got ads with language that my browser does not support because it is foreigner.
Depends on the ad type. The text ads ones allow 2 ads. The keyword text ones allow just the one. Means you can have 2 full text ads and 1 keyword text one. on a page.
The ads go by filename, keywords, and any text on the page.
You can put up to three ad blocks on a single page. If all blocks of ads do not show ads, either Google can't figure out what your page is about and can't find relevant ads, or there are not enough advertisiers in the category that Google has assigned to your page.
There is no exact answer for what Google uses to decide what ads to display. It is a combination of page content, page title, <h1> tag contents, meta keywords, and probably a whole lot of other stuff that doesn't come to mind right now. Page content is most important though in my opinion.
