Lightbulb Image Ads VS Text Ads

I been testing out both formats for click rate, 6 months later. I can assure you, IMAGE Ads delivery poorly. I recommend anyone who uses PPC Ads to stick with Text Ads...

Text Ads delivered more clicks.

I just wanted to share this everyone! Hope it helps you make more money

here's that thread

text links will do better on content-based sites such as a blog, article directory, forum,

image ads will work if you have a graphics site, games site and image upload site.

Yes, that's true, but most of the CPM ads tend to be image ads. So, if I have an ad at a spot that doesn't normally generate many clicks anyway, I prefer to put an image there so I at least get paid for impressions sometimes.

It's true, because text ads seems more attractive compared to image ads. When a word seems appealing and connected with our needs or something interesting, sure we want to click on it.

i would think that the image ads would bring more attention to the ads... I guess they are thinking Text and would click on Text instead of an Image. I can see that... thanks for the post OP

I guess it depends on the visitor itself. Whether they prefer image or text.

In our experience, it seems like image ads are much more likely to serve up an irrelevant ad.
You can have a site where the image ad looks great and is very relevant and has ok CTR and pays, but then suddenly a week later it changes to a much less relevant ad.
Of course you can then filter that site out, but it's lots of work to watch and then filter.
The other scary thing about this is that it's harder and harder now, with google's smart serving, to see or guess what users are seeing from other regions. So, text ads seem to be a safer bet.

Interesting post you have there and I can see where you are coming from when you have to monitor your site 24/7 to look at the ads. I have always wondered what someone else is seeing. Region by Region is totally different esp from city/state to city/state
