After months of joining several rev sharing forum, the possiblity of earning from these rev sharing forum via adsense ads is virtually $0...

Anyone got any success tips or stories to share ?

Some forums give more weight on thread starter.

Then comes the posters chance. and over there also it is being rotated with all the posters code.

Now if a thread has 100 views and 50% rev share goes to users. and 25% out of it goes to thread starter then there is only 25% left for posters and if there are 5 posters then one will get 5% chances. which will be 5 impressions and with a CTR of about 0.25 to 1% on forum stuff you can surely forget about that.

Maybe you need thousands of posts to get some revenue.

Most of the forum members are already ignoring the ads as it tends to get settled in their mind. Like I just saw the ads above this quick reply box when I tried to look at it.

I was under the impression your only going to be making money if your actively posting. I just put my code in, as I was just accepted. Only 14 impressions so far, but im optimistic

While I had Adsense, I made about $50 from the revenue sharing here at Namepros (over the course of about 8-9 months). It's not a lot, but every little bit helps.

I would consider that pretty significant, being that you dont really have to do anything.

Got an .18 cent click today but to be honest thats prolly the second click from namepros i have ever gotten.

It all depends on how active you are. I was reading about it, and theres a few things.

1. You have to be active because it will only display your ads in threads that you have participated in.

HOWEVER

If you are online, all the time (much like I am) your ads are not displayed while your online.

I guess the best way to get something out of it, would be to post like a mad man for one day, then go offline for an entire day?

I've made a few bucks just by being the first to reply to threads in the domain discussion section here.

But keep in mind with firefox adblock majority of users won't even have adsense displayed, then everyone that does is soo used to them rarely will they click. The clicks I bet come more from search engine visitors not logged in reading threads from this forum for the first time.

The whole goal of making money via rev share isn't very practical, just a nice kickback generous forum owners give their members.

1. I am very active and get around 500+ impressions on adsense a day from just Namepros.

2. Yours ads display even if you are online or offline it does not matter. The ads display in the threads that you post in.

If you're looking to make any serious money this is not a very good way lol. Honestly, I've probably made 1 dollar from rev share here.
