Letter from Google

Ack!

I got a letter from google stating that they have detected invalid clicks?!?! I swear I have not employed any shady techniques to increase my adsense revenue. When I asked for information on what site and date they detected these clicks, they replied by simply quoting themselves on the original letter.

I use an auto-surf program to exchange traffic to one of my sites; but this site has no adsense code on it at all.

I also have topsite buttons on one of my sites that do have adsense codes on it. Could this be it?

i don't think that artificially inflating hits is not allowed... are you sure you haven't done this?

i would fathom that the autosurf is what's getting you in trouble, not the topsite buttons (although they're practically link farms anyway).

Check your stats and see if your getting hits from the same IP multiple times. If so check out the IP and ban it if needed. Could be someone trying to get you banned from Adsense by clicking your ads.

Good luck,

-Bill

autosurfs are not allowed and considered click fraud by adsense.

The good ole google email LOL don't freak about it just make sure you have a backup. Use the backup for a few weeks and let everything simmer down.

...what do you mean by back up? Like a back up for the adsense ads? Unfortunately I havenet signed up for anything just yet. Yahoo doesn't offer theirs to Canadians and I don't really know of any others that are worth trying.

Programs like adlogger.org (development halted but should be working) and asrep.com should give you this info

I have tried the first one and it does work well but, it can't not report properly for Gecko / mozilla browsers (but the geckos are not at fault, neither is the developer)

Try Revenue Pilot or bidvertiser... there are a few members here who own publisher sties why not support them... the pay wont be as high but it will always be great for a backup! I thought YPN was for US and Canada... might be wrong on my end.
